Slight rise in temperature in Rajasthan

A slight increase in temperature was recorded in most places in Rajasthan due to a fresh western disturbance even as a thick blanket of fog covered northern parts of the country, affecting train movement.

According to the MeT Department spokesperson, there is a 2 to 3 degrees Celsius rise in the minimum and maximum temperatures recorded in most places in the state in the last 24 hours.

The lowest minimum temperature recorded was 8.6 degree Celsius in Sriganganagar followed by 9 degrees in Phalodi, 10.4 degrees in the hill station Mount Abu, 11.5 degrees in Jaisalmer, 12 degrees in Bikaner, 13.3 degrees in Banasthali, 13.4 degrees in Eranpura Road, 13.5 degrees in Sikar 13.6 degrees in Churu and Alwar, 13.9 degrees in Dabok and 14.1 degrees in Pilani.
 

Dense fog cover in northern parts of the country forced North Western Railways to change the departure timing of Jodhpur-Varanasi train and delayed nearly 10 trains by one hour to a maximum of 20 hours 50 minutes.

According to North West Railways spokesperson, Howrah- Sriganganagar was delayed by 20 hours 50 minutes followed by Sealdah-Ajmer by 12 hours 40 minutes. Howrah-Jodhpur and New Jalpaigudi-Udaipur trains were delayed by 10 hours each.
