Small sugar recovers in good demand

Small sugar prices recovered at the Vashi wholesale market today on good demand from stockists and millers offtake.

While, medium sugar closed mixed owing to alternate bouts of buying and selling.

Small sugar (S-30) gained by Rs 14/1 per quintal to Rs 3,616/3,726 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 3,602/3,725.

While, medium sugar (M-30) was quoted at Rs 3,702/3,842 as compared to Rs 3,710/3,842 yesterday.

Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,616/3,726 (Rs 3,602/3,725).

Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,702/3,842 (Rs 3,710/3,842).
