Sonowal meets Assam DGP

BJP's chief ministerial candidate Sarbananda Sonowal today held a meeting with the Assam Director General of Police and other senior police officials.

Sonowal met DGP Mukesh Sahay and other top ranking police officials at the government's guest house here, party functionaries said.

Terming it a routine convention, they did not reveal details of the meeting.

BJP and its allies won 86 seats in the 126-member Assembly in the just concluded elections. The new government will take oath on May 24.
