South West Monsoon to hit Rajasthan in three days

South West Monsoon is likely to hit southern region of Rajasthan in next three days, Meteorological department today said.

Conditions are favourable for further advance of South West Monsoon into remaining parts of north Arabian sea, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Delhi and Rajasthan during next 3 days, the report said.

Meanwhile, sporadic rains occurred in parts of Rajasthan in last 24 hours with Deval recording 12 cms of rainfall followed by Dungarpur 11.

However, western districts of Rajasthan were still reeling under heat wave conditions as the maximum temperature of 43.4 degree C was today recorded in Churu.

High humidity and heat affected the normal life in Jaipur though a squall hit the state capital in the evening but there were just traces of rainfall.
 

Jaipur recorded maximum temperature of 40.3 degree C.
