Press Trust of India New Delhi
Soybean prices drifted lower by Rs 23 to Rs 3,005 per quintal in futures trading today as traders cut down their holdings, taking weak cues from global market.

At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, soybean for delivery in current month was trading lower by Rs 23 or 0.76 per cent at Rs 3,005 per quintal, in an open interest of 79,360 lots.

Soyabean for delivery in February too shed Rs 22, or 0.72 per cent, to Rs 3,049 per quintal, having an open interest of 91,610 lots.

Marketmen said the fall in soybean prices in futures trade was mostly attributed to offloading of positions by participants amid a weak trend in global market.
