Soybean prices rebounded by Rs 17 to Rs 2,858 per quintal in futures trading today as participants built up fresh positions, tracking a recovery in global markets.
Marketmen said, building up of fresh positions by speculators, guided by a recovery in international markets, mainly supported the rise in soybean prices at futures trade here.
In futures trading at the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, soybean for delivery in current month was trading higher by Rs 17, or 0.60 per cent, to Rs 2,858 per quintal, in an open interest stood at 72,400 lots.
The soybean for delivery in June also added Rs 17, or 0.58 per cent, to Rs 2,929 per quintal, having an open interest of 1,04,360 lots.
