SP leader among three booked for thrashing policeman

Three persons, including a Samajwadi Party leader, were booked for allegedly thrashing a cop here, police said today.
SP leader Akhlaq Pappu and Nagar Palika Parishad ward members Mahmood Kasaur and Wasim allegedly beat up Constable Deepak Kumar after he seized a bike during checking near main post office crossing, Circle officer (City) Shailendra Lal said.
Kumar, whose hand got fractured in the incident, reported the matter to Superintendent of Police SP Singh, following which an FIR was registered against the three.
No arrests have been made so far in this connection, Lal added.
