SP leader Nand Lal Passi passes away

Former MLA and Samajwadi Party leader Nand Lal Passi passed away at a hospital in Lucknow after prolonged illness, family members said.

He was 84.

Nand Lal was elected to the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly in 1993 as a Samajwadi Party nominee.

He was admitted to the Dr Ram Manohar Lohia hospital where he breathed his last yesterday, they said.

Several people, including Samajwadi Party mmebers, paid their tributes to the departed leader.
