A 19-year-old speech impaired youth was arrested today for allegedly stabbing a college girl near here, police said.
The victim, also of the same age, who suffered injuries on her hand in the attack yesterday, was treated as outpatient at a local hospital, they said.
The youth Dinesh, neighbour of the girl, attacked her with a knife while she was helping her mother in cooking.
Police, on a complaint from the girl's mother, arrested him and are ascertaining the reason for the attack.
