Speeding truck kills three in UP

Three men were killed after being hit by a speeding truck on Bela road in Tirwa area here, the police said today.

The incident took place last night when Awadesh (28), Subhash (30) and Vishnupal (35) were watching a street play and the truck hit them from behind, they said.

While two died on the spot, one died during treatment in a local hospital, the police said.

An FIR has been registered in the matter, the police said, adding a search is underway to nab the accused.
