Amid pickup in domestic demand and tight supplies from producing belts, refined soya oil prices were up 0.61 per cent to Rs 573.05 per 10 kg in futures trade today as participants widened positions.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in October rose by Rs 3.45, or 0.61 per cent to Rs 573.05 per 10 kg with an open interest of 91,685 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in August edged up 25 paise, or 0.04 per cent to Rs 585.55 per 10 kg in 27,560 lots.

Market analysts said besides pickup in demand at the spot market, restricted supplies from producing belts led to rise in refined soya oil prices in futures trade.
