Refined soya oil prices moved up by 0.12 per cent to Rs 785 per 10 kg in futures market today as speculators created fresh bets, taking positive cues from spot market on uptick in demand.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in March month edged up by 95 paise, or 0.12 per cent to Rs 785 per 10 kg with an open interest of 23,140 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in April contracts were trading higher by 50 paise, or 0.06 per cent to Rs 788 per 10 kg in 43,050 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions built up by traders following pick up in demand in the physical market against restricted supplies from producing belts influenced refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
