Refined soya oil prices were up by 0.17 per cent to Rs 666.30 per 10 kg in futures trade today as participants created fresh positions after uptick in demand in the spot market.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in October edged up by Rs 1.10, or 0.17 per cent to Rs 666.30 per 10 kg with an open interest of 66,270 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in November was trading higher by Re 1, or 0.15 per cent to Rs 667.75 per 10 kg in 38,300 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions built up by traders following pick-up in demand in the spot market against restricted supplies from producing belts mainly led to the rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
