A Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB)
jawan today suffered serious injuries when his rifle went off in Gopikadar camp in Dumka district, police said.
A resident of Odisha, Kambal Kishore, is a sentry in the SSB 45-Battalion.
He suffered serious injuries in the chin and eye and was rushed to Dumka Sadar Hospital, where doctors referred him to PMCH, Dhanbad, Superintendent of Police Nirmal Kumar Mishra said.
He said police was investigating the matter.
