State Bank of Patiala's security guard killed, cash van looted

In a daring day light robbery, three motorcyclists today opened fire on a State Bank of Patiala's cash van and took away some bundles of cash before killing a security guard and leaving another injured.

The amount of cash looted was not yet clear, police said.

The incident took place near Alohran Gate, police said, adding, the guard was killed when he tried to resist the loot attempt.
