Steady conditions prevail

Steady conditions prevailed at the wholesale grains market today as prices moved in a narrow range in scattered deals and settled around previous levels.

Traders said said adequate stocks position against restricted buying activity mainly kept prices steady.

Following are today's quotations (in Rs per quintal):

Wheat MP (deshi) 2,250-2,650, Wheat dara (for mills) 1,625-1,630, Chakki atta (delivery) 1,630-1,635, Atta Rajdhani (10 kg) 220, Shakti bhog (10 kg) 220, Roller flour mill Rs 860-870 (50 kg), Maida 915-920 (50 kg) and Sooji 965-985 (50 kg).

Basmati rice (Lal Quila) 10,400, Shri Lal Mahal 10,000, Super Basmati Rice 9,500, Basmati common new 5,500-6,100, Rice Pusa (1121) 4,800-5,900, Permal raw 1,800-1,825, Permal wand 1,950-2,050, Sela 2,600-2,625 and Rice IR-8 1,700-1,725, Bajra 1,120-1,125, Jowar yellow 1,300-1,375, white 2,300-2,450,Maize 1,275-1,295, Barley 1,575-1,585.
