Steel prices steady in flat trade

There was not much activity at the wholesale market in the national capital today as steel prices continued to move in a narrow range in the absence of buying support and settled around previous levels.

Traders said absence of buying support from construction units against adequate stock position mainly kept prices unaltered.

Following are today's quotations (in Rs per tonne):

Saria Kamdhenu: 8-mm Rs 47,900, 10-mm Rs 47,400, 12-mm Rs 45,000, 16-25 mm Rs 45,700.

Amba Shakti (TMT): 8-mm Rs 45,700, 10-mm Rs 43,400, 12-mm Rs 42,400, 16-25 mm Rs 42,500.

MS Angle: (50x5) (50x6) Rs 42,000, (40x5) (40x6) Rs 42,800.
