The Jalna police have returned stolen goods collectively valued at Rs 28 lakh and recovered by them to their owners here in Maharashtra on Monday.
Local Crime Branch (LCB) chief Rajendra Singh Gour saidthe goods were seized by the police in 27 cases under various jurisdictions from criminals involved in dacoity, housebreakings, vehicle thefts and others related crimes.
The belongings worth Rs 28 lakh were handed over to their respective owners by district superintendent of police S Chaitanya at a programme held at the police headquarters here.
Personnel of LCB and different policestations of Jalna district worked on solving andrecovering these stolen goods from criminals, Gour said.
The recoveredgoods included ornaments, cash, two- wheelers, four-wheelers, a tractor, electric motors and cycles, among others.
