As the airline expressed inability to provide an alternate flight, the agitated passengers refused to leave the airport and staged protest

GoAir's Delhi-Jammu-Leh-Delhi flight (G8-193) took off from Indira Gandhi International airport here as per schedule this morning and landed at Jammu airport.

But airline officials had to cancel the onward journey to Leh due to inclement weather and brought back all Leh-bound passengers to Delhi, airport sources said.

Expressing their inability to provide seats to all passengers in other airlines or alternate flight or hotel accommodation, the airline officials asked the passengers to take refund of their tickets.

Later, the issue was resolved after airline agreed to provide tickets for February 7 to those who wanted to travel on that day.

The airline also provided accommodation to those who didn't have one in the city, the sources said.

Passengers, mostly Ladhakis, were returning from pilgrimage and had bought the tickets about six or seven months ago at a very discounted price

Many claimed that they had no money to pay for hotel accommodation.
