A BBM student was hospitalised with serious injuries, when a bear attacked him, while returning home after attending a festival near Pandalur in the early hours of today.
Arun Kumar and his friends had gone to attend a temple festival on Gudalur-Cherampadi, Road some 70 Kms from here. While returning, two bears chased them and started attacking, police said.
Though his friends managed to escape, one bear continued attacking Arun, resulting in bleeding injuries on legs and back.
As the bears were scared away by the friends, some villagers took and admitted to the Government hospital in Pandalur, they said.
