A student of class IX today committed suicide after allegedly being scolded by teachers of his school, the police said.
Sunil Kumar Gupta (15), a student of a school in Kolkata, was found hanging in his room early this morning. His body was discovered by his elder brother Anil Gupta.
The incident happened in the Ekbalpore area of Kolkata.

Family members of Sunil had alleged that two teachers of the school, physical education teacher Sheikh Ibrahim and class teacher Shakti Pal, have been harassing Sunil for the last few days.
Sunil was mentally upset over it, the said.
"We have started an investigation. Both the main accused are absconding. We are on a lookout for the duo," DC(Port) Imran Wahab told PTI.
Sunil's family members said the teenager, who was mentally tortured by Pal and Ibrahim over trivial issues, was beaten up by a classmate on Tuesday and the teachers without looking into the truth of the incident, harassed him and asked him to go back home and call his parents.
