A 16-year-old student allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling fan of his room after failing to clear his class 8 examination, police said today.
Vikas Kumar was found hanging in his room at Madta village in Ramnagar tehsil of the district this morning, they said.
Police said the student had failed in his class 8 examination, the results of which were declared yesterday, adding that his body has been sent for postmortem.
