A middle school student was killed by a speeding truck in Howrah district today when she was proceeding for a NCC training, the police said.
The student was identified as 14-year-old Riya Naskar.
The accident took place on Dhulagarh-Ekkabbarpur Road following which locals blocked the road for some time, the police said.
The truck driver surrendered after the accident and he was arrested.
