Student's objectionable photos uploaded on social media, FIR

A case was registered against an unknown person for allegedly uploading objectionable photos of a female student of a private university here on social media, police said.

The complainant told police that she had created WhatsApp group of her class after a recent freshers' party.

She alleged that someone made fake Facebook ID and uploaded her objectionable photographs on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, police said.

A case was registered under relevant sections of the IPC and the IT Act, they said.
