Unidentified gunmen today shot dead a youth in Sopore town of north Kashmir's Baramulla district.
Waseem Mehraj Malla was shot at from close range by gunmen outside his house in Krankishivan area of Sopore, 55 kms from here this evening, police said.
Malla was rushed to a nearby hospital in a critical condition but was declared dead on arrival, the police said.
He was pursuing Masters Degree from Islamic University of Sciences and Technology at Awantipora in Pulwama district.
No militant outfit has claimed responsibility for the killing so far.
