Sub-Treasury Officer caught red handed accepting a bribe

Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials caught Machilipatnam Sub-Treasury Officer M Nagamani while accepting a bribe of Rs 3,000 in her office at Machilipatnam in Krishna district, official sources said here today.

ACB DSP V Gopalakrishna told PTI that Sub-Treasury Officer Nagamani demanded Rs 3,700 to sanction expenditure of a widow pensioner, after which her son Harikrishna approached ACB officials.

The ACB conducted a raid and caught the official redhanded and arrested her while accepting the bribe, he said.
