West Bengal Panchayat and Rural Development minister Subrata Mukherjee today said directions have been issued to fast track the construction work of a bridge between Hingalganj and Hasnabad in North 24 Parganas district.
The Rs 50 crore bridge has been planned to ease the travel time between Hingalganj and Hasnabad and aimed at better connectivity, Mukherjee said while inaugurating the newly constructed Bishupur Panchayat Bhawan at Hingalganj.
Necessary instructions have been issued to speed up construction work of the bridge and all gram panchayats and panchayat samities have been asked to focus on rural roads, the minister added.
Local MP Idris Ali was also present on the occasion.
