Sugar ends steady in mute trade

Both varieties of sugar ended stable at the Vashi wholesale market here today in the absence of any worthwhile buying amidst ample supply positions.

Small sugar (S-30) and Medium sugar (M-30) closed at its previous level of Rs 2,862/2,975 and Rs 3,006/3,222 per quintal, respectively.

Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 2,862/2,975 (Rs 2,862/2,975).

Medium sugar(M-30) quality: Rs 3,006/3,222 (Rs 3,006/3,222).
