Sugar held stable in listless trade

Both the variety of sugar, small and medium held stable in an otherwise listless Vashi wholesale market here today due to lack of any worthwhile large-scale buying activity.

Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 2,700/2,791 (Rs 2,700/2,791).

Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 2,812/2,952 (Rs 2,812/2,952.
