Sugar prices end steady on small buying

In thin trading, wholesale sugar prices remained steady in the national capital today on scattered buying support.

Marketmen said apart from ample supply, selective buying support, mainly kept sugar prices at previous levels.

The following were today's quotations per quintal:

Sugar ready: M-30 Rs 2,930-3,190, S-30 Rs 2,920-3,180.

Mill delivery: M-30 Rs 2,790-3,040; S-30 Rs 2,780-3,030.

Sugar mill gate (including duty): Mawana 2890, Kinnoni 3,040, Asmoli 3,000, Dorala 2910, Budhana 2900, Thanabhavan 2895, Dhanora 2880, Simbholi 2,995, Modi Nagar Rs 2,890, Khatuli 2985, Dhampur 2,850, Ramala 2,850, Bulandshar 2,845, Anupshar 2,800, Baghpat 2,820, Morna 2,815, Sakoti 2,860, Chandpur 2,835, Amroha 2,825 and Nazibabad 2,800.
