Weak trend developed on the wholesale sugar market at the national capital today on ample supply from mills amid scattered demand, recording losses up to Rs 40 per quintal.
Marketmen said apart from heavy stocks position in the markets, regular supply from mills mainly pulled down sweetner prices.
Sugar ready M-30 and S-30 prices fell by Rs 20 each to Rs 2,920-3,180 and Rs 2,910-3,170 per quintal.

Similarly, mill delivery M-30 and S-30 prices enquired lower by Rs 20 each at Rs 2,770-3,040 and Rs 2,760-3,030 per quintal.
Among millgate section, sugar Sakoti and Chandpur dropped by Rs 40 each to Rs 2,820 and Rs 2,805 per quintal, respectively. Sugar Mawana, Kinnoni and Dorala also lost Rs 20 each at Rs 2,845, Rs 3,040 and Rs 2,835 per quintal, respectively.
