Sugar prices trade steady in thin trade

Sugar prices ruled steady at the Vashi wholesale sugar market here today in thin trade amidst sluggish demand on the back of ample supplies.

Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,142/3,221 (Rs 3,142/3,221.

Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,226/3,401 (Rs 3,226/3,401).
