Press Trust of India New Delhi
Sugar prices eased further at the wholesale market in the national capital today due to adequate stocks position on higher supplies from mills against muted demand from bulk consumers.

Marketmen said, besides sufficient stocks position on increased arrivals from producing belts, a fall in demand from bulk consumers, kept pressure on the sweetener's prices.

Meanwhile, the government yesterday said it has withdrawn stock holding and turnover limits on sugar dealers with immediate effect as demand-supply situation is likely to be comfortable with the estimated rise in production.

Sugar ready M-30 and S-30 eased to Rs 3,540-3,680 and Rs 3,530-3,670 against last close of Rs 3,570-3,700 and Rs 3,560-3,690 per quintal, respectively.
