Sukhbir Badal condemns France terror attack

Punjab Deputy Chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today strongly condemned the terror attacks in Paris, urging the people of Punjab and the country to unitedly reject extremist forces.

Badal said his heart went out to the innocent persons who had been ruthlessly killed by in the terror attacks.

"I want to tell them that Punjabis are one with them in their hour of grief," he said in a statement here.

Further condemning the terror act, Badal said the attack was also an occasion for all countrymen to reaffirm their commitment to take on all persons who encourage terrorist activities either directly or indirectly.
 

"We all need to understand the danger anti-national forces pose to Punjab and India and also the fact that these forces are always looking for a chink in our armour.

"While we are always on guard against outside forces, we need to also expose and reject forces in our country that play to the tune of terrorist organisations," he said.

Badal assured Punjabis that the state government would do its utmost to ward off extremist forces and would not allow peace and communal harmony to be disturbed at any cost.
