Questioning Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal's recent visit to Turkey, the state Congress today accused him of spending public money on leisure trips.
"Sukhbir's visit to Istanbul was just a leisure trip on the expense of tax payers of the state," Punjab Congress president Partap Singh Bajwa said here.
Ridiculing Sukhbir's claim that the Punjab government will copy and implement the Istanbul model of Bus Rapid Transport System and solid waste management project in the state, he said the SAD leader has "the habit of day dreaming".
"He should stop making false promises to people," Bajwa said, adding that Sukhbir had announced Personal Rapid Transport System for Amritsar and Ludhiana two years back and had also laid the foundation stones but the projects are yet to see daylight.
Same is the case with Metro and mono rail projects for Mohali and Ludhiana and Express Highway between Mohali and Amritsar, he said.
