'Super 30' founder and mathematician Anand Kumar, credited with sending hundreds of underprivileged children to the prestigious IITs, today shared his success story with youths in Qatar.

"Education is the only way for true liberation from poverty and deprivation," he said, addressing a seminar on the topic 'Roadmap to Success' at a school in Doha.

He cited examples of successful 'Super 30' students to drive home the point how hard work and passion could make a difference and called the experience of addressing the gathering, attended mostly by youths, "exhilirating".

"Having got into IITs, they (Super 30 students) are now well placed to start a new life and give back to the society," he said.

The mathematics wizard said his dream is to open a school on the lines of 'Super 30' for class 6 onwards, where the students will be trained not only for the IITs but also for International Mathematical Olympiad and International Physics Olympiad.

Anand's pioneering 'Super 30' initiative, under which he provides free residential coaching to 30 underprivileged students for nearly a year, has so far sent 281 students to the Indian Institutes of Technology in the last 11 years.

The phenomenal success has brought him several awards and recognition across the world.
