Taking serious note of "disobedience" of directions of the Commission, State Vigilance Commission (SVC) today issued a show cause notice to the Superintendent of Police (South Jammu) Sajad Salaria.
The SVC, after a meeting chaired by the Chief Vigilance Commissioner (CVC) Kuldeep Khoda here, issued a notice to the officer directing him to show cause as to why action under relevant provisions of J and K Vigilance Commission Act may not be initiated against him for defying orders of the Commission, a SVC officer said.
Salaria has been directed to appear before the Commission at Srinagar in person along with explanation and requisite reports on August 17, he added.
DIG (Jammu) Ashkoor Wani and SSP Sunil Gupta have been directed to ensure the personal appearance of the SP, the officer said.
