The Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum district, Amit Kumar today flagged off six 'awareness raths' to aware people about water and sanitation mission under Swach Bharat Mission campaign.
Awareness camps will be organized in 161 panchayats under six blocks of the district from August 10 to 18, Kumar said.
The objective of the mission is to encourage people to build toilets in their houses under a scheme, he said.

Superintending Engineer Rajendra Prasad said those who had enrolled their names in the concerned survey in 2012 and still do not have toilets at home are eligible in the scheme.
The mission was aimed to encourage such persons to build toilet in 15 days, he said adding a person constructing toilet on personal level will get Rs 10,000 and Rs 2,000 in two instalments.
The administration was also preparing list of those who was enrolled in the 2012 survey but unable to construct a toilet and also the list of persons who did not enrol in the survey.
