Swaraj Paul calls on Mamata

India-born British business tycoon Lord Swaraj Paul today paid a visit to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at the state secretariat today.

Describing it as a courtesy visit, Banerjee said, "This is a courtesy visit. He (Swraj) is a senior person. I had visited him during my visit to London."

The meeting lasted for nearly 40 minutes.

The head of the multi-billion dollar Caparo Group was in the city to attend a private programme.
