Punjab Director General of Police Suresh Arora today reviewed the security arrangements at Shambhu barrier on NH1 on Punjab and Haryana border in the wake of INLD's threat to undertake digging of SYL canal on February 23.
"We have made adequate security arrangements to deal with this situation," Arora said today.
Following INLD leader Abhay Chautala's call to undertake digging of SYL canal for faster implementation of the apex court's pro-Haryana verdict over sharing of the river waters, Punjab has sought 10 companies of paramilitary force which the DGP hoped to be deployed by tomorrow.
