Jayanta Talukdar and Bombayla Devi Laishram went down to their Chinese opponents and settled for a silver medal in the recurve mixed pair event of the Archery World Cup Stage III in Antalya, Turkey today.

According to information received here, the duo had come back to level the second end 2-2, but the second seeded Chinese pair of Yuting Fang and Gang Wang fired in three perfect 10s to take a 4-2 lead before wrapping it up 5-3.

India thus concluded their campaign with two silver and one bronze, once again failing to bag a yellow metal in yet another forgettable outing for the archers this season.

Rajat Chauhan had bagged the first silver in the individual compound section, while the women's compound team of Trisha Deb, Lily Chanu Paonam and Purvasha Shende opened the account with a bronze yesterday.

India had an ominous start to the season returning empty-handed from the Stage I World Cup in Shanghai, while at the Stage II in Medellin they finished with one silver and one bronze.
