The Tamil Nadu government is working on an ambitious target to attract USD 250-billion investments in the next 10 years.

"In the next 10 years, we are working on attracting USD 250-billion investment in Tamil Nadu. We are confident that out of it nearly 40 per cent will come in public private partnership (PPP) projects," Rajiv Ranjan, Principal Secretary of Highways and Ports Department, told reporters last night in a programme here.

Ranjan was part of a delegation that arrived in the city, commercial hub of Madhya Pradesh, to meet industrialists in view of the Global Investors Meet scheduled to be held in Chennai on September 9-10.

The top official invited industrialists to invest in Tamil Nadu and take advantage of opportunities available in the southern state.
