Tamil Nadu Education Minister K Pandiarajan today said the state had sought funds for 19 various projects in the pre-budget meeting held here.
Pandiarajan who attended the meeting on behalf of Chief Minister O Panneerselvam, who holds Finance portfolio, said we have sought over Rs 3,000 crore for Athikadavu Avinashi project.
"Apart from the funds for ground water scheme project, Rs 2,000 crore have also been demanded for Tamil Nadu Investment Company," said Pandiarajan.

He also urged the Centre to act fast for the revival of Nokia cell phone company in Sriperambudur in the outskirts of Chennai.
"As the Foxconn has come forward to revive the Nokia plant, all that Central government has to do is to hasten the process," said the minister.
He said funds for interlinking of Cauvery-Vaigai-Gundar, special package of over Rs 1,000 crore among others were part of the demands.
