Group Executive Director (Finance and Corporate) of Tata Group, Koushik Chatterjee today asserted industrial development should not take place at the expense of tribal interest.
He in this context stressed the need to enhance their standard of living in the ambience they were living in.
Industrial development at the cost of tribal interest should not take place and emphasis should be given to ensure improvement in the quality of life in the ambience they were living in, Chatterjee said during an interaction with newsmen.
The interaction took place soon after he inaugurated the five-day long 3rd edition of "Samvaad-a pan-India Tribal Conclave" at Ganesh Puja maidan in Kadma here today.
He added that Tata Steel has a long relationship with tribal community.
