Tata Power Solar has been ranked the 1st rooftop player among EPC companies in the recently published India Solar Rooftop Map 2016 report by BRIDGE TO INDIA.
According to the report, the total installed capacity in the rooftop segment is 1020 MW as of September 2016. In terms of market share, Tata Power Solar leads by nearly four times over its closest competitor in the market, Tata Power Solar said in a statement today.
Tata Power Solar has installed nearly 40 MW of solar rooftops in the past year alone. Tata Power Solar has cumulatively commissioned 117 MW of rooftop and distributed generation projects till date.

Mytrah Energy crosses 1 GW installed wind capacity * Mytrah Energy has commissioned its 220 MW of wind project at Andhra Pradesh taking its total installed capacity to over 1,000 MW.
"With the commissioning of the 220 MW wind project ins Aspari in Andhra Pradesh, the total wind capacity of Mytrah has crossed 1000 MW," the company said in a statement issued here.
Mytrah Energy has a portfolio of 15 projects across 8 states and has around 200 wind masts installed across multiple states in India.
Edelweiss AMC appoints Dalal as Chief Investment Officer
* Edelweiss Asset Management Company, the investment manager to Edelweiss Mutual Fund, has appointed Dhawal Dalal as the Chief Investment Officer - fixed income.
Dalal will oversee fixed income portfolio for mutual fund and will be reporting to Vikaas Sachdeva, CEO, Edelweiss AMC, a company statement said today.
Prior to it, Dalal was working as an Executive Vice-President and Head-Fixed Income at DSP BlackRock Investment Managers since 1998.
"We welcome Dhawal on board and are confident that he will play a key role in the continued growth of Edelweiss AMC. Dhawal brings with him a blend of cross-functional expertise and experience, which will significantly strengthen our existing capabilities in fund management and research," Sachdeva said.

Bharti AXA launches Dhan Varsha plan
* Bharti AXA Life Insurance, the private life insurance joint venture between Bharti Enterprises and AXA, today said it has launched a non-linked limited pay participating plan Dhan Varsha.
The plan provides early non-guaranteed cash bonuses from the 7th year onwards along with guaranteed survival benefits that will be six per cent of the sum assured and paid out every year once the policy holder completes 10 policy years until the year before maturity.
"Bharti AXA Life has introduced Dhan Varsha with the aim to provide financial stability with high returns and compelling benefits of protection to safeguard policyholder's family in case of any eventuality," Bharti AXA Life Insurance chief and appointed actuary Mudit Kumar said in a statement.
