A moot court competition is been organised in city on January 9 and 10.
"Justice Dr. B. P. Saraf National Tax Moot Court Competition is organised jointly by All India Federation of Tax Practitioners (AIFTP) and The West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (WBNUJS)," Narayan Jain, national VP of AIFTP said.
A moot court is an extracurricular activity at many law schools in which participants take part in simulated court proceedings, which usually involves drafting memorials or memoranda and participating in oral argument.
The moot court competitions offer a great opportunity to the students of law to build on what they are learning in law schools and apply it to practical life and after they become lawyers, they can appear before a judge with better confidence said Prof P Iswara Bhat, VC of WBNUJS said.
