Taxi hits policeman

A policeman was injured after

being hit by a taxi at the Park Street-Russell Street crossing under Park Street police station today, police said.

After hitting Mrinal Kanti Dey, a sub-inspector of Kolkata Police, the taxi fled but taxi driver Mantu Yadav was arrested soon after near the Birla Planetarium.

Dey is being treated at a private hospital for injuries in his left leg, police said.
