Teacher shot dead in UP

A 44-year-old teacher was

today shot dead by some unidentified motorcycle borne youths in Ranipur Barha village in Patti area here, police said.

The incident took place when the victim Devendra Pandey, a teacher in junior high school, was going to the school, they said, adding he died on the spot.

According to police, an FIR has been lodged in this connection and no arrests have been made so far with investigations underway.
