Teachers play a crucial role in shaping students:Rangasamy

Chief Minister N Rangasamy said a teacher is chiefly instrumental for the educational advancement of the students and such disciplined students contribute a lot for the progress of the country.

In his message on the eve of Teachers' Day he said teachers play a vibrant and crucial role in shaping disciplined citizens and it is one's duty to felicitate and respect them.

The birthday of former President of India, Dr S Radhakrishnan, on September 5, is celebrated every year as Teacher's Day across the country.

Welfare Minister P.Rajavelu recalled the excellent qualities of Dr S Radhakrishnan, in his message.

"It is our duty to respect and recognise the role of the teachers", he said.
