A seven-member team led by Supratim Mazumder will attempt to scale Koa Rang-V (20531 feet) in the Lahaul region of Himachal Pradesh.
Conducted under the aegis of 'Diganta' with approval from Indian Mountaineering Foundations, the team will leave on August 20 and is expected to return on September 9.
This will be the 22nd Himalayan expedition conducted by the 43-year-old mountaineering organisation.

The team has planned to scale Koa Rang-VI (20299 feet) should they fail to ascend KR-V, a statement said.
The team has plans to set up base camp at an altitude of 17000 feet, a couple of hours' treak from Baralacha La pass on Manali-Leh Highway.
It's members are Supratim Mazumder(leader), Angshuk Ghosh, Bhaskardeb Mukherjee, Satyadeep Gupta, Rohitashwa Bissa, Partha Mukherjee and Nayan Karmakar.
